If your new to the world of weight training, let me give you a brieft introduction to weight training. Weight Training is one of the best hobbies or sports you can get involved in.

Whether you’re looking to make a career out of weight lifting or simply want to get into shape and tone up your body, weight training is the ideal solution. Not only will weight training help improve the shape of your body and add muscle mass to your frame, it is also associated with a Number Of Health Benefits. Before I explain to you how to effectively build muscle, I feel its important you understand a little bit of the theory behind muscle building and how it works.

Now don’t worry, im not going to baffle you with a load of technical terms only professional trainers are going to understand, im just going to explain the basics of how weight training works and what is actually meant by the term ‘weight training’. I know the term weight lifting or weight training to many people will instantly bring about the picture of huge, overgrown bodybuilders who have muscles popping out of every area of their bodies. This is one of the many reasons why people are put of by the idea of weight training and therefore shy away from the idea completely. Im here to tell you that this is a total misconception of what weight training is for and what it does.

Bodybuilders dedicate their lives to looking the way they do and for many of them it is part of their job and of course the sport. It takes years and years of training and dedication to get to where they want to be and even then they are never satisfied. You should also note that many bodybuilders aid their routines via the Use Of Drugs Or Anabolic Steroids and would not encourage anyone to do this. Weight lifting is for everyone. People who are looking to get fit, Looking To Lose Weight or those specifically looking to add muscle mass to their bodies should all participate in some form of weight training.

I mentioned before that weight lifting comes with a number of health benefits, most of which are listed below:

Now, its worth mentioning that weight training is not the quick fix solution to an out of shape person looking to pack on as much muscle as possible in the shortest amount of time. Unfortunately this will not happen. The only exception to this is a persons genetics. Genetics play a big part when determining how much muscle your body can pack on.

The average person will NOT be able to get into shape and pack on 50 pounds of muscle in 6 months. Weight training is a lifestyle and unless your prepared to work at it and be consistant you will never achieve your goals. This isn't to say you cant cheat occassionally and why wouldn't you! as long as you stick to your workout routines, revamp your diet and be consistant there's nothing to stop how far you can go in the world of weight lifting.
