Waking Up Early In Order To Build More Muscle

Waking up at a respectable time each morning allows for a far more productive day. Whether we know it or not, getting up a reasonable hour each morning makes us feel more alert and refreshed for the day ahead. But just how early am I talking about? This depends how productive you want your day to be or the restrictions you are faced with when trying to fit exercise into a busy work schedule. Here are three top reasons why waking up early can help you build more muscle:

More Time to Prepare and Eat Your Meals!

The earlier you get up the more time you will have to eat and prepare your meals for the day. If you get up at 12 o clock in the afternoon how an earth are you meant to squeeze in 4-6 quality high protein meals before you go back to bed? Adopting eating habits like this on a regular basis will be counterproductive. Progress in the gym will slow down and muscle growth will be increasingly harder to come by.

Another problem encountered by getting up late is a lack of appetite. Appetite is important if you are to continually eat the foods you need in order to build muscle. Let’s face it, a bodybuilders diet does not always contain the most appetizing foods so it’s important we build up an appetite before each meal. If you are about to eat a meal when you still feel full from the previous one you will not want to eat it. Get up at a reasonable time, consume around 4-6 quality high protein meals, space your meals out, Eat enough calories to be in a calorie surplus for the day and you will have a far easier time building muscle.

You Can Consume More Protein!

If you are trying to build muscle you should know the importance of protein in your diet. Without enough protein in our diets muscle growth will suffer, progress will slow down and your body will find it harder to fully recover between workouts. When you get up early you have the opportunity to consume more meals throughout the day. As a result you will also get the opportunity to consume more protein throughout the day.

Since we need at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight to help us build muscle, protein intake can be reached a lot easier by waking up early and consuming high protein foods with every meal. Lean cuts of meat such as chicken and turkey are great sources of protein as are fish and tuna. Make a lean cut of meat the staple of every meal and you should not have any problems reaching your protein intake for the day.

Make Time For Training on a Busy Schedule!

If you have a hectic work schedule each day then waking up early can benefit you. If you wake up early enough you can fit in your workout before work and get it out the way with. No need to worry about fitting it in between work hours or your lunch break. An early riser can get their training session done and dusted in the morning and be in work by 9 o clock raring to go.

People who have hectic jobs and return home late are always the people who find an excuse to skip their workouts. They’ve been working all day and so they deserve a break when they return home. They feel drained, maybe they feel tired. I can understand this. However, if you have a goal to transform your physique and get fitter and stronger then you need to cut the excuses and make time for your workouts. If you want something badly enough you will make time for it no matter what!
